postheadericon How to defend this play in little league?

We play in what is called minor league A ball in little league. Mostly, 9 and 10 year olds. Here is the situation. Opposing team has a runner on third and our pitcher throws a pitch. The runner on third then takes a big lead and when we throw back to pitcher they break for the plate and score. Does anyone have any tips on how to defend this. The play is not dead until the pitcher is on the rubber and the catcher is in set position. Thanks!
